Zach Galifianakis

Zachary Knight "Zack" Galifianakis, was born on October 1, 1969. Is an American stand-up comedian and actor. His mother Mary Frances was running a community center for arts and his father Harry Galifianakis was a heating oil vendor. The grandparents of Zack was emigrants from Crete, Greece, so Zack was baptized in his father's Greek Orthodox faith.He has one younger sister , Merritt, and an older brother, Greg. Zack attended Wilkes Central High School and studied communications in North Carolina State University without graduating. His career began in 1966, when he played a role in the short-lived sitcom "Boston Common".He participated in many stand-up shows as a writer or comedian, like "Comedy Centrals Presents", "Saturday Night Live", and "Late World with Zack". Galyfianakis played various small supporting roles in movies but the break through point was with the movie "Hang Over" for which he earned the "MTV Movie Award" for the best Comedic Performance.
