David Adkins "Sinbad" was born on November 10, 1956 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, he is an American stand up comedian and actor. Sinbad was the son of Martha and Baptist Rev. Donald Adkins, and he has five siblings. He attended Benton High School and attended University of Denver for the basketball team, then he served in the US Air Force. Meanwhile, he started stand up comedy which lead him to leave the US AIR Force.Sinbad began his career appearing on Star Search where he won the comedian Dennis Miller, after that he took a role on "The Redd Foxx Show". In 1987 he landed a role in "A Different World", and few years later he played in "Necessary Roughness". In 1992 he appeared on "Saturday Night Live" and two years later on "Aliens for Breakfast", with his popularity growing Fox gave him the acceptance to produce the "Sinbad Show" in 1993.
