Christopher Julius "Chris" Rock III was born on February 7, 1965, is an American comedian, actor, screenwriter, television and film producer. He was born in Andrews, South Carolina and grew up in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. His mother was a social worker and his father a truck driver, he have three brothers (his half-brother, Charles, died in 2006 from alcoholism problems). Rock began his career with a stand-up comedy in "Catch a Rising Star" in 1984 and he raised his career status with the TV series "Miami Vice" and the role in the film "Beverly Hills Cop. II". His part on "Saturday Night Live" show gave him national exposure, after that he made many successful comedy shows and films which gave him various awards like Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards.
